Caring for ourselves, each other and the world
People pride themselves on their independence, often thinking our ability to get by without assistance is our greatest value. The truth is, however, from the moment we arrive on this planet we’re enveloped in extensive care. And a time will come when we must care for others, and likewise let ourselves be cared for, even before life’s final chapter. Taking Care of Ourselves teaches us that a society where individual and collective well-being are intertwined is more compassionate, resilient and deeply committed.
