Kevin R. Wittman is an art historian with a passion for maps. Specialising in mediaeval studies, he is always learning, and has a keen interest in the medieval cartographic representation of the unknown. His research centres on the role of the Atlantic Ocean and the western limits of the world in medieval geography and cartography, the subject of the PhD he is currently undertaking at the University of La Laguna, where he is also a researcher at the Medieval and Renaissance Studies Institute.
